Welcome to émoi Patisserie & Café Striesen, a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant heart of Dresden, Germany. Located at Augsburger Str. 48, this café is not just a place for coffee; it’s a culinary haven where the art of French patisserie meets cozy café vibes.
Walk in, and you’re immediately enveloped by the warm, inviting atmosphere of émoi. The interior captures a rustic charm that complements the exquisite offerings. Patrons like Natalia Shabalina commend the extensive selection of desserts and pastries, paired with delightful coffee that makes every visit memorable—even on holidays!
The true star of émoi is undoubtedly its array of desserts. From the ultra-rich chocolate cake to the delightful Sacher cake—reported as a must-try by customers—it’s clear that they’re not afraid to experiment with flavors. As Bert Green points out, their innovative approach yields incredible results, making even the most unexpected combinations work harmoniously.
Each pastry, crafted with care, showcases not only culinary skill but also a commitment to quality and value. Guests have remarked on the reasonable pricing relative to the artistic presentation, lending a luxurious feel to the experience without the hefty price tag of fine dining. Daria V perfectly captures the essence of émoi with her praise of the authentic interior and excellent food, echoing the sentiments of many satisfied patrons.
Service is pivotal at émoi Patisserie & Café Striesen. Despite the high demand and bustling environment, the staff remains remarkably friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcome. This dedication to customer service is a reflection of the café’s overall ethos—one where every detail matters, right down to their environmentally friendly takeaway packaging.
However, it’s worth noting a small critique. Some guests have mentioned that the seating arrangement could be enhanced to accommodate more patrons comfortably. Nonetheless, this minor detail does not overshadow the exceptional culinary journey awaiting you.
In émoi, you’ll find not just a café, but an experience—a place where dessert dreams come true and delightful memories are made. Whether you’re indulging in a pain au chocolat or savoring a dark chocolate mousse, every bite transports you to a world of sweet ecstasy. Don’t miss out on this delightful escape in Dresden.

Incredible desserts. They experiment a lot with flavors you might not expect to find in a dessert, but it works. Very reasonably priced for stuff that looks like it should be in a super fancy restaurant

FINEST FRENCH PATISSERIE Why does émoi deserve 5 stars? First, the TASTE of all baked goods were PHENOMENAL (ultra RICH chocolate cake, chocolate crème and couverture, …) Second, the SERVICE was really KIND considering the fact that they had to deal with a lot of stress due to high customer demand. Furthermore, • UNIQUE and perfectly baked/executed patisserie • adequate VALUE for money (worth the price) • safe and environmentally friendly packaging for takeaway available small criticism: The room is unfortunately not efficiently used in order to offer enough seats to a fair number of customers ⭐ RECOMMENDATION • My absolute HIGHLIGHT: Sacher cake total: 11,20€ order: Sacher cake, tangerine cheesecake & dark chocolate mousse

Delicious pain au Chocolat, Schinkenkäse croissant and Focaccia. Prices are according to product quality. Friendly staff. Due to corona times sitting in is 2G, so don't forget to bring your documents, otherwise take out works fine too.

Best macarons in Dresden. The coffee is im my opinion perfect. A well made not bitter capuccino. The atmosphere is nice inside and outside. The manager is really really nice and generous. I would consider bringing my guests here. One thing is missing: labelling vegetarian Products from the non-vegetarian.
